Assesment times and Priority Repairs

What are our assessment times?

Our standard assessment times are approximate only and are dependent upon product category and current workload. Vaio laptop computers - within four working days. General IT products - within four working days. Professional audio - within five working days. DV cameras - within four working days. General audio and display products - seven to ten working days

What does "assessment time mean"?

This is the time elapsed prior to assessing your job, rather than the time it will take to actually complete the repair. Once your job has been assessed for incorrect or non-performance, we are usually able to provide you with an accurate cost estimate. The actual time it will take to provide this estimate will be based
upon the following:

1. Can we quickly reproduce the fault(s) described, or do the fault(s) take some time to appear?

2. Are the fault(s) of an intermittent nature, or do they only occur after some hours, or even days of operation?

3. Are the cause(s) of the fault(s) extremely difficult to identify?

4. If parts are required, do we hold them in stock or will they require ordering?

5. Are the parts required available within Australia, or will they require shipping from an overseas supplier?

What is a priority service?

Priority assessment time varies upon workload, but guarantees your job will be assessed no later than by the end of the next working day. To qualify for next day, your repair must reach our workshop no later than 2:00 PM.

What is down tools service?

Down tools assessment guarantees your job will be assessed within 2 hrs from the time of of book in. To qualify for this service your repair must reach our workshop no later than 2:00 PM.

What do you get for this extra charge?

Your job is assessed quickly in line with the service selected. You will be notified within fifteen minutes of assessment and where possible advised of estimated costs and completion time. Any parts required that are not held in stock will be express ordered where possible.

Is the priority or down tools fee still payable if there is a delay in the completion of the repair?

Yes, as the costs associated in assessing your repair early remain the same.

In addition to a priority or down tools fee, is the quotation fee still payable if it is decided not to proceed with the repair after it has been assessed and a quotation provided?

Yes, as the costs associated in assessing your repair remain the same.
